Geriatric Medicine
Care designed around older adults
Geriatrics looks at the whole person — health, function, memory, medications and the people around you.
What is geriatric medicine?
Geriatric medicine is the specialty devoted to the health of older adults. As we age, illnesses can present differently, several conditions often overlap, and medications need a closer look. A geriatrician is trained to sort through this complexity and to protect what matters most: your safety, comfort and independence.
Dr. Báez-Franceschi is board certified in Geriatrics and evaluates and treats the concerns that most often affect older adults.
